Hi all fpv friends! I've newly registered as a member here, although i've been reading now and then!
I bought myself a easystar plane few months ago, i set it up and flown it a couple of time, and when i got the hook of it (could land and start with zero to none damages) i figured i'd buy my fpv gear!

Time ran by and somehow put that on hold.. Til now!
And I need some help to get a decent gear, in this jungle of stuff..
I use a Turnigy 9X 9Ch Transmitter w/ Module & 8ch R controller.
So I figured i'd go for a 1,2/1,3 video system.
What I need is this:
Video tx/rx
Decent camera
Power source? both for plane and ground station
(can i use same lipo for rx and camera that is already in the plane?)
Or will i get interferance?
Goggles.. Well, i need a complete FPV gear, will you guys please help me out here? Smile Pretty please?
Welcome Slaffe! I can tell you that in a plane as small as the easy star space will be your biggest issue. You will probably want to stick with one battery that powers both the video equipment and plane, unless you want to mod the plane to fit 2 batteries. The rest of your video equipment comes down to your own personal needs. A decent camera for me maybe be terrible for you. Same with VTX and where you will be flying. daytime, night time, clouds, woods? and also your budget.

But, just in general, the GoPro HD Hero live will give you fantastic picture, but it's a bit pricy. (about $300 US) If you want something a bit cheaper, the camera I'm using has outstanding picture in all conditions, and is very forgiving to a beating. (it fell out of my car at speed onto pavement).
DX201 DPS camera (LINK) About $150
To power the ground station... I know that you can use lipo's, but i'm not sure how large. I personally use my car to power my GS.
When it comes to goggles you always want HIGH quality. That picture is the only thing keeping you in control of that airplane. That is why I say go with Fatshark Basic Edition goggles.

If I were you I would also invest into the FY-21AP Flight Stabilization system. From personal experience I know how useful this gadget will be. My very first FPV flight lasted about a minute before my plane lost connection and spiraled down to earth. $350 lost that day. Luckily my video equipment survived, but the plane was useless. Had I had the FY21AP I never would have crashed. And I can tell you that the first time it prevents you from crashing is the day that it pays for itself.
Thank you for your fast reply airforcedude5!

But I was in the thought of start simple, with a low budget. I got cash, It's just that I dont know if i'll like it (guess I will) but it would be a waste to spend a fortune on fpv gear and the intereset isnt there a few weeks later.

The GOPro camera is an alternative in the future. But for now it'll work with a 70-100$ camera, if not cheaper.

What I want now is just to get up there, and get that feeling that I've gotten from the movies i've watched Smile

And to power my station from my car is not an option, since I dont have a driving license Smile

How do I want to fly?
To start with, i'd like to just get up there, as I said before. We got this rc airfield here wich is an open field (quite huge) and maybe 50-100?200m? up in the air.

What about this? Should I Avoid buying cheap chineese VTX/RX ?

I found this FPV Combo package at hobbywireless

Out of stock though, but this should be a good start kit, wouldn't it?
I generally try and avoid chinede equipment, but sometimes you have no other choice. If you are looking for premade fpv kits you can check out this thread i created a few months ago.
