Greetings,

My name is Tony Kinsey. I am the owner and founder of "Pimp My Heli." We specialize in custom built scale & FPV helicopters.
I started Pimp My Heli because I love to build & fly custom RC model helicopters and aircraft. I have been building part time for a very long time and have in the last couple years increased my building to full time. I am introducing myself and my company here to share my products and services. I am currently building a brand new website and it is updated daily with new products, photos, videos, information, tutorials, promotions etc. Aside from being the owner, I am also the lead builder and test pilot. I would like to talk more about myself & company but I have many helicopters to finish and get shipped. So I am going to share what was written about me by one of my long time friends and some loyal customers. I will be posting everything regarding our products & services here in this thread as well as tutorials. I have spoken with Heiko and because Heiko and FPVcommunity.com members have shown what great caring people they are, and I have seen what a great forum this is. I have made FPVcommunity.com my forum of choice. Thank you all for the very warm welcome. I look forward to speaking with you all and reading your posts & sharing my stuff with you. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me. Happy flying Big Grin

Sincerely

About us

Pimp My Heli is a small privately owned & operated company specializing in custom radio controlled helicopters. We are located in Garland Texas, a few miles north of Dallas, Texas. Pimp My Heli was founded in 2009 by Tony Kinsey and his wife Sherry. Mr. Kinsey is a radio controlled fanatic who has over 30 years experience building models and radio controlled aircraft, vehicles. Over the course of his life, Mr. Kinsey developed his skills and expanded his knowledge while building RC aircraft not only for himself, but for friends, family & club members. During a period of unemployment in 2008 he spent most of his spare time building new aircraft and experimenting with new products. During his unemployment Mr. Kinsey was offered a job working at a local hobby shop in the north Texas area. The job didn't pay much, but it did allow him to meet new people, many of which asked him to build their models after seeing his own. It was during this time that Mr. Kinsey started building so much that his wife, family, friends & club members told him he should follow his passion and build full time. So on the advice of his family, friends & customers, Mr. Kinsey decided to turn his passion for RC into a full time career and so, he started Pimp My Heli.

Mr. Kinsey's deep love for RC combined with his unwavering attention to detail and his meticulous nature have driven him to build some of the finest radio controlled aircraft available anywhere in the world. Mr. Kinsey's dedication to customer satisfaction combined with his constant drive for perfection have been the fuel that has caused Pimp My Heli to grow at an amazing rate. In 2011 Mr. Kinsey decided to expand and offer his products and services worldwide via the internet. Mr. Kinsey and his staff have made Pimp My Heli one of the greatest RC helicopter companies in the world. But don't take my word for it. Read customer testimonials, watch their videos, see their pictures, hear their reviews and see for yourself why Pimp My Heli is quickly becoming a leader in custom RC aircraft. When you fly a Pimp My Heli custom built aircraft, you will see why so many are lining up to have Pimp My Heli build their RC aircraft.
Here is a video of a custom built scale 450 size helicopter I built for a customer. It is a Hughes MD530F ARMY Black operations helicopter.

Here is a video of a scale Agusta A-109 450 size helicopter I built for a customer. Sorry the video is so short, but we had severe thunderstorms rolling in fast. I thought I had enough time to get a flight in, but as you will see the wind picks up and starts blowing really hard. You can even hear the wind in the microphone of the camera and the sky getting darker by the second. 2 minutes after landing it started storming and hailing real hard. The wind was so bad that tree limbs were breaking off. Undecided

I think you should do build logs in this thread of your custom built helis, even though there not FPV i think it will be valuable to the forum!

Thank you Cosha, Yes I will (and am) doing build logs. Or should I say tutorials, product reviews etc. I have somewhere around 100 videos and approximately 500+ pictures of all the aircraft I have built for customers over the years. The problems I am having is that the computer they were stored on crashed. I have the drive at a PC shop and they are going through each file trying to salvage what they can. But so far it's not looking good. Sad

The other problem I am having is the when it crashed I was forced to use my older laptop that has trouble with HD videos etc. and my new camcorder is full HD. It looks like I am just gonna have to take a day off and just go buy another computer. But I am so busy I have to make appointments just to eat. Tongue But yes I will be posting some build logs for specific aircraft. It's just time consuming to do the video or picture thing as I work. Been making tutorial videos for both FPV and scale rotor craft and will be posting them on my Youtube page(s) and website when all the parts are finished and edited. I am also considering posting them on my websites blog, so people can interact and ask questions etc. I am working on some FPV projects that will blow peoples minds and as far as I know I am the first person in the world to do what I am doing. Yes I agree. Like I told Cosha, I am just very busy with building, working on the new website, handling shipping & receiving, editing videos, communicating with suppliers, sponsors, customers, the wife, employees, handling payroll and what seems like a 100 other things. Smile But yes I have them coming and will post them on my Youtube pages, website and here. Stay tuned
ahh can't wait !!
