so I am happy with mod for RSSI.It is only necessary to solder on purple line and leave pins alone.RSSI shows 0.1-3.3V value on Cyclops EasyOSD.Ground is needed if OSD is on seperate lipo than receiver.Heres pic of my rx.I used shrink tubing over resister to avoid any contact.
Hello

i'm using the Corona receiver in 72mhz, and i plan to attach the RSSI to a Hobbyking E-OSD (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...ct=16662). i'll be plugging one port to the main battery and the other to the rssi. is that ok?

E-OSD says it works with 7.2~12V, so it's ok for 2-3S. is it ok for 0-3V, wich is the voltage from Corona RSSI pins? is there any secure method to amplify this signal, to get the voltage display for 0-10V, for example?
here's a quick guide for PPM and unbuffered RSSI.

hey guys.
just found this, and im really excited.
i would use this on my eagletree osd.
one question i have though is...
do i need an rssi buffer?
i dont understand what it is but apparently some people need them.
i couldnt really buy one so im hoping i wont need one.
or if i do can i make it somehow?
thanks guys.

Hi elvenpure welcome to the forum,
You do need an RSSI buffer between Corona and Eagletree OSD.You can get a pack of 10k ohm resistors from Radioshack for a couple of bucks.
So that is the buffer?
I bought some 10k ohm resisters but it didn't work for some reason.
Does it matter which way the resistor is faceing?
Which pin does it connect to on the temp1?
And do I need any extra programming to make it desplayed?
Thanks heaps.

It does not matter which way resisitor is facing. What version Corona do you have? Can you post a pic of it and where you are connecting.I think you should contact Eagle Tree and verify with them as I am not too familiar with their OSD except that it is very well made and thought out. On my OSD I have to enable RSSI in menu. http://www.eagletreesystems.com/osd/osd.htm
PS:If you dont have resisitor your Corona will go into failsafe
okay well i cant post pics but i thought it was the same with all coronas?
all i need to know now is
how do i make the rssi appear on the screen?
even if its not plugged in correctly i should still see rssi=0 or something no?
im just not getting any indication that i have set it on the menu. which i have.
do i need to re do servco wizard or change something on the computer?
thanks again.
