Don't have any RG176, I'm just going to make do with what I have on hand.

Getting close to completion now Smile

With all the wiring and final component placement all finished up, I hot glued the electronics bay lid on.

Here you can see the camera wire, and balance connector for the VTX:

After that I proceeded to "fiberglass" the wing with Riteweave and 3m90 spray.

The next day I lightly sanded the wing, prepared some stencils, laid down some masking tape, and proceeded to paint the wing, It isn't perfect but I'm pretty happy with how it looks so far Smile

Thanks guys Smile

Wish I could take the credit for the electronics bay doors, but this is my first wing build and I'm using Chris' (from Ritewing, guy who makes these wing cores) build techniques. I'm doing everything according to his guidelines Smile

The electronics bay and battery bay are covered with coroplast, which is a corrugated plastic.
Got the painting done last night Big Grin

I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I forgot to weigh it before the first coat but on the second coat I went from 22.2 before spraying 3m90 layer and paint to 22.5oz. So about .6oz of paint.

While waiting for paint to dry in between steps, I trimmed and sanded the elevons, they are ready to be painted, then hazed with 3m90, then laminated. I'm going to give the paint at least 24 hours to dry, so until 8pm tonight before I laminate the wing.
Great paint scheme Smile
Can't wait to see the maiden flight!
Nice build

Question about your TX
Will the antenne not be a aerodynamic problem?
I know you have to separate the gps when you use 1.2 or 1.3G.

I cant wait for your maiden.

Thanks, as far as the antenna causing drag, well, you have to make a sacrifice somewhere. Other planes have tails and fuselages, I have an antenna Wink

Maidened the Zeph the other day, didn't get video of the very first flight which was in light rain, but the next day I did manage to get a flight in and record it Smile video soon, I promise!
