Discussion FPV camera - Toshiba Camelio P-10 FullHD
Since both me and RCExplorer have got this camera, this thread is created for sharing info about this cheap HD cam.

RCExplorer is much better with electronics then me so I'm hoping he will post a dummys guide on how to make this camera more FPV friendly.
And if Melikh also buys this camera, then I know we will see a more FPV frindly version Smile

I use as is at came, out of the box, fully assembled.
I just cut a large hole in my AXN Floter Jet and strapped the camera in Smile
I connected it to the AvionicsRC 500mW Vtx and off it flew.

It records in HD quality while it sends SD quality out of a 3.5mm video connection.

It captures very good images in daylight, but for use in darkness, it is mostly useless.

The video below is captured in 1080p but rendered in lower res..
It also came out with wrong aspect ratio Confused

Video 6285516 on Vimeo.

This next video is captured in 1080p and rendered in 720p

Video 6442044 on Vimeo.

Both videos are captured by the Camelio P-10.
Maybe you have go to viemeo to view them in HD quality Smile

I hope RCEplorer does not feel like I just hijacked his HD cam thread Smile

Best Regards,
Kristian

Great post, Kristian!

Maybe Melih can built a stand-alone-system out of this camera? This yould be awesome, a fpv hd camera with record function and interface to video transmitter Angel

Hi Heiko,

Actualy it is possible, HD pinhole(micro lens) camera modules around 10-20$ but bigger problem is programming DSP for encoding video and generating pal/ntsc signal for transmitter. This is impossible for me, because costs is high and this is not parttime job.
Only FlyCamOne doing this job on the RC market.

May be someday Smile

Thanks, but Lefdal/Elkjøp doesn´t have it in stock at the moment, guess I´ll have to wait until late October. I´m in Oslo BTW.

Yes, low light condition are not good for this camera.
The picture gets pixelated and does not look high def at all.

Right now the sun is shining Smile
So I'm headed out to try my Skyfun FPV before I head to work.
Will post a video if I get any usable fotage.

RE: FPV camera - Toshiba Camelio P-10 FullHD
I was interested in Camileo P-10 for it's price, but now I've found a another Camileo, S-10 with the same parameters, a (very) little more expensive (+7 EUR), but it's significantly smaller and lighter:

Camileo P-10:
108 (H) x 71 (W) x 34 (D), weight: 148 g (exclude akku), 118.99 EUR

Camileo S-10:
100 (H) x 57 (W) x 17.9 (D), weight: 87 g (exclude akku), 125.70 EUR

What do you thing about it? I don't know anything about image quality, just the information from our shop...
