Specification comparison using Slash 58034-8 and DJI O3. This is not a tested vehicle build or wiring recipe. Primary references checked November 1, 2026.
Check the exact receiving equipment
DJI lists Goggles 2 as compatible with O3. Goggles 2 does not accept analog video. DJI FPV Goggles V2 is a different product and can use an external analog receiver through AV IN in the documented mode. Similar product names do not establish compatibility.

Worked power check: 6.0 V is below 7.4 V
The Slash 58034-8 manual lists the XL-5 BEC at 6.0 V, 1 A. DJI specifies O3 input as 7.4–26.4 V. Therefore that receiver supply is below O3’s minimum input voltage. A connector adapter cannot correct the mismatch.
A complete power design still needs current capacity, full battery-voltage range, regulation, protection and correct wiring. Ask for an engineered solution for the actual vehicle and components rather than treating this comparison as approval to connect the traction battery.
| Specified item | Value | Consequence |
|---|---|---|
| 58034-8 XL-5 BEC | 6.0 V / 1 A | Below O3 input minimum |
| DJI O3 input | 7.4–26.4 V | Receiver supply above is unsuitable |

Plan airflow before enclosing the unit
DJI’s O3 guidance addresses heat dissipation. A truck does not provide a quadcopter’s propeller airflow; an enclosed mount is therefore a cooling risk to assess. This is an engineering inference, not a measured temperature result. Keep powered stationary checks within manufacturer instructions.

Keep steering control and video diagnosis separate
The onboard camera view does not prove that steering, throttle or loss-of-control behavior is correct. Verify the truck in direct view under its own manual before adding the video system. Start any driving evaluation in a suitable controlled area with a way to stop immediately if video fails.
