Find Traxxas parts by model number and observed wear

A Slash name alone is not enough to identify electronics or replacement parts.

Worked reference: Slash 58034-8 manual, pages 20 and 26. Other Slash variants and modified trucks can differ. Primary references checked November 1, 2026.

01

Identify the vehicle before ordering

Record the model number, installed ESC and any previous modifications. Open the matching manual and exploded view. The examples below come from the 58034-8 manual, not a parts recommendation for every Slash.

02

Trace steering play to a component

Page 26 names the servo saver 3744, bellcrank bushings 2545 and tie rod ends 2742 as steering wear points. With power disconnected, locate the movement before ordering: note whether the looseness is at the saver, bellcrank or rod joint. These are inspection examples; confirm the current part against your exact model and installed assembly.

03

Use the maintenance checklist, not guesswork

The same page calls for checks of wheel and steering binding, shocks, wiring, mounts, wheel nuts, loose chassis/suspension screws and gear damage. Note the damaged location and part number. Use specified settings from the relevant manual; there is no universal tightening torque for all of these fasteners.
